The Spanish striker has no doubts: “Both us and the fans deserve to win”
The spotlights of the match between Rome and Real Sociedad which will be staged on Thursday are starting to turn on today. The declarations of some players of the Spanish team alert Mourinho’s formation: the Alguacil club is certain they can overturn the result. In particular Kubo, striker from the San Sebastian team, declares himself ready to drag the team to the quarter-finals. These are his words: “In the first leg we had our chances, but we didn’t manage to score, they did. If we play better in the second leg, we have a better chance to come back. We tried a few shots today and almost everyone went in, so the fans can be confident. I want to be part of the club’s history, come back from 2-0 and be talked about in 10 years. I want to be part of the team that came from behind against Roma, beat them and reached the quarter-finals. And if it happens with my goal, so much the better. I think I’m in good shape and the team is too, despite the results, and now is the time to prove it. I’ll try to do my best for the team.” And he continues: “I like important games and I’ll try to contribute as much as possible. I think that in double confrontation you have to enter the field in the second game with anger. But we can’t go wrong, we have to be aggressive, but not excessive, and with all the confidence of the world. The ideal would be to score three goals in the first 10 minutes. We have to do our best, constantly create dangers, keep going even if we lose balls, and shoot more than we are doing. We must not lose now, we must push. I don’t know if we are ready or not, but if we are playing this round it is because we deserved it, with the help of the fans, we deserve to win”.
