SEOUL – Kim Ju-ae, daughter of the leader of North Korea (North Korea) Kim Jong-un wearing a £1,300 Christian Dior velvet hooded jacket when witnessing a missile test.
Kim Ju-ae, believed to be around 10 years old, is pictured with her father at a North Korean missile test site on March 16. The photo has been released by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea’s state media.
People around Kim Jong-ae noticed her plush patterned hoodie as she witnessed the test-firing of the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile at Pyongyang International Airport.
South Korean media outlet The Choson Ilbo reported that Kim Ju-ae was spotted wearing a hoodie for a four-digit price tag but it was unclear whether or not it was a fake.

However, if it is a real Christian Dior, it means Kim Ju-ae is wearing a jacket that costs more than per capita income in North Korea as it costs £1,300 on a UK website.
“The hooded jacket honors House’s heritage with the iconic Cannage print,” says Christian Dior on the jacket’s product page.
Kim Ju-ae’s mother, Ri Sol-ju, is known for her sense of luxury and she was once photographed carrying extravagant purses that looked like Christian Dior and Chanel brands.
Consumption by the ruling family runs counter to North Korea’s socialist ideology and is officially banned under UN sanctions, but members of North Korea’s elite continue to defy the sanctions.
“Outsiders tend to think of fashion in North Korea as shabby and out of date, but North Korean elites are always following new fashion trends,” Joung Eun-lee, a researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification in Seoul, told the Washington Post Saturday (25/2010). 3/2023).
