Keanu Reeves has not said goodbye to the John Wick saga. The producer of the fourth installment, Erica Lee, has addressed the shocking ending of the fourth film in the franchise, being one of the first to answer the question. (Spoiler warning).
Did the main character die in the final moments of the film?
Although no corpse was shown, it was assumed that Keanu Reeves’ titular assassin had bled to death on the stairs of the Sacré-Coeur in Paris. This was further confirmed when chapter 4 closed with what appeared to be a tombstone for John Wick. The tombstone that he himself had requested.

Erica Lee told Screen Rant that she hopes he’s not dead. She commented cryptically that Keanu Reeves has been saying this is the death of John Wick. But what does that actually mean. “I hope not,” said the film’s producer. “I’ve heard Keanu say it’s the death of John, the character. But also, what does that mean? Is it the alias? Is he the killer? I think the answer is we don’t know yet.”
The producer of John Wick 4 believes that there is more story to tell. AND is hopeful that there will be a fifth film with Keanu Reeves. “I think the answer is we don’t know yet,” said producer Erica Lee. “I think we have more story to tell and we hope there will be a fifth. I still don’t know how it will be or what the story will be. But I’m hopeful.” Therefore, the true answer remains pending and in the air. As the executive has explained… This is not over yet!
