During the last few years, Kate del Castillo has become one of the most controversial actresses, above all, for her scandals related to drug lords in Mexico.
Recently, the famous spoke out against bullfighting and Internet users went over it.
Through a video on social media, the artist expressed her position regarding bullfighting, a discipline criticized by activists in defense of animals.
Del Castillo shared a story about what animals face, like agony, physical pain and the way they are killed in the middle of a show.
The 50-year-old actress also posted a reel she did with Peta Latino, one of the most internationally renowned organizations with animal rights activists.
“While life escapes from my body, several men continue to stab me mercilessly… Why is it amusing to see me like this, tortured, mutilated, dying?” she is heard saying in the clip.
“Bullfighting is torture, not culture, and I am demanding the END of bullfighting in all of Latin America”, was the message he shared in the publication, which accumulates more than 260,000 “likes”.
He also posted a photograph on his Instagram, with which he invited his fans to join the cause.
“In my latest collaboration with @officialpetalatino, I demand an end to the horrendous and unfair suffering that is bullfighting. We cannot allow the torture of animals to be considered a cultural spectacle. We must come together to put an end to it once and for all.” added.
Some of the celebrity’s fans applauded his stance. However, other users attacked her, as they assured that the productions in which he participates are more violent than bullfighting.
“You ask for non-violence and you make narco series and you meet with one of the most dangerous and wanted capos in the world. What inconsistency”, “When you stop promoting violence in your series, we’ll talk”, “Bulls yes, narcoseries no!”, “So promoting drug culture is okay?”, it reads in the post.
Kate del Catillo was criticized for participating in a meeting with Joaquín Guzmán Loera, alias “El Chapo”. As stated by Sean Penn, another of the guests, the actress attended as her interpreter, but the boss was also a fan of the famous.
