Kalimba reacted to the accusations against him of sexual harassment and abuse by the singer Melissa Galindo, and through a statement he said that will pursue legal action for defamation.
The OV7 member expressed that he has always respected the people who have worked with him, and that the people who know him can attest to this, so regretted the accusations that have been launched against him, which he categorically denied.
“I categorically deny the statements made against me. I will demonstrate with evidence and before the authorities the falsity of these accusations at the hands of my legal team,” it reads.
Kalimba expressed her admiration for the movements that have given women a voice, but considered it sad that are used incorrectly, either for revenge, to seek a benefit, or to seek to evade economic and legal responsibilities.
Finally, the singer, who 13 years ago was accused of an alleged rape, reported that he will take legal action for the defamation of which he is being subjected.
“I inform public opinion that I will take legal action for the defamation of which I am being subjectedincluding against those who have replicated this message without safeguarding my identity and my rights”.
What does Melissa Galindo accuse Kalimba of?
Through a transmission on Instagram, Melissa Galindo reported that the events occurred a long time ago, after she opened a concert of the OV7 member in Monterrey.
After celebrating with the rest of the team, at which time Kalimba drank a lot, she asked to be taken to her hotel, while the others had decided to continue the party elsewhere.
She says that in the truck she sat behind the passenger seat and Kalimba was placed next to her. She assured that The first thing the singer did was touch his knee and he began to tell him that he had heard very good comments about his music.
“Suddenly I felt something that touched my vag…, his hand ran up it and it was like the net went into shock, I closed (my legs) and put my hands, but I didn’t say anything, because I said capable was without want, so that I make a mess, right now not even the case. I am with his people, with his team, here unprotected, not even in the case of making a mess,” the Sinaloan told.
Throughout just over 26 minutes, the singer-songwriter recounts that three years ago Kalimba invited her to join his label. but both They knew each other from before, even before when the singer was in prison.
“I knew him from before the jail and I asked him what happened and in the name of God he told me that he had not done anything and I believed,” he says.
Melissa remembers that after the first touch, Kalimba did not try anything else, as she started dating someone else.
Kalimba wanted to have sex with Melissa
One morning, during the Covid-19 quarantine, she received calls from Kalimba and their manager to invite her to go, which she refused. But in the evening, both showed up at his home.
That, he says, was one of the reasons why he had not decided to speak until now, because they know where he lives.
On that occasion, to avoid them staying at home, he chose to go out with them and, already in the truck, Kalimba played it again.. Things got worse when she got to his house, who tried to have sex with her.
“No one is going to find out, he told me,” he points out.
The next day Melissa contacted a lawyer to help her finalize the contract with the record label, arguing breach of the same by the company.
In response, the record company sent a list of alleged debts on her part.
“I asked for prices and notes that never came, because obviously all the receipts were ultra-inflated,” indica.
Minutes later, in another video, the interpreter thanked those who showed their support from the first moment.
“I’m fine, thanks. And nothing, Honestly, I did this so that it does not continue to happen and so that every day they are more afraid of touching a woman who has not allowed them to touch her body, ” stressed.
