Denpasar Sound – The State of Israel recently went viral in the country due to the rejection by Bali Governor Wayan Koster at the U-20 World Cup. This time, news came from the country with the capital city of Jerusalem. Thousands of people from trade unions in Israel took to the streets. They protested the judicial overhaul policy designed by the government of Prime Minister (Israel) Benjamin Netanyahu.
Histadrut, which is a labor union in Israel, has started a mass strike action on Monday, (27/3/2023). It is aimed at pressuring the Israeli government to stop its controversial judicial overhaul plan.
The chairman of the Israeli trade union Histadrut, Arnon Bar-David issued an official statement to a number of media crews.
“He said that workers and employers will jointly stop judicial investigations,” Xinhua media reported, reported by Suara Denpasar, Tuesday (28/3/2023).

Following calls from the Israeli trade union mass strike, flights departing from Ben Gurion International Airport have now been stopped. Factories, banks, shopping centers and a number of local authorities who participated in the strike also closed their services.
Fast food chain McDonald’s restaurants also joined the strike and closed restaurants across Israel.
Only public transportation, secondary schools and kindergartens were not affected by the mass strike initiated by the Histadrut trade union.
Meanwhile, the Israel Medical Association also announced it would carry out a general strike in all public hospitals and clinics for the same reason. They left only urgent care.
All Israeli state universities also went on strike for the same reason. The Association of Heads of Israeli Universities, in a statement, called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ruling coalition to immediately stop the law procedure and start opening up the space for discussion to come to a publicly agreed upon idea.
