LONDON – Anwita Patil, a 12-year-old girl from Manchester, England, scored 162 on the IQ test. That value surpasses the world’s two genius scientists, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, who reportedly has an IQ of 160.
The little girl is now accepted by Mensa, an international society for people with high IQs.
Anwita Patil was 11 years old when she took the test to join Mensa.
Anwita’s mother, Anu, is a mathematician with a PhD in the field and her father is an NHS (National Health Service) consultant.
Her mother first noticed her daughter’s natural intelligence when Anwita beat her to answer a math problem.
His father, Jay Patil, told the Manchester Evening News: “He has the highest score of 162 in his age category.”
“From elementary school onwards, Anwita found several ways to solve the problem that my wife didn’t know about. We thought there must be something else going on here,” he said, quoted by The Mirror, Monday (20/3/2023).
Anu added: “We used to do math challenges together, but sometimes I didn’t get the answer and (Anwita) did it. She thinks very differently, and this is for things that aren’t taught in school.”
Anu says he has been following the Mensa community for years.
