IO interactive has recently declared that all the forces of the team will be employed in the realization of Project 007a game dedicated to the world of James Bond, to the detriment of titles such as Hitman.
During an interview with Eurogamer, the CEOs of the team, Hakan Abrak and Christian Elverdamhave released a series of interesting statements on the approach that IO Interactive is adopting in the realization of the awaited title.
Abrak began by speaking of the choice to draw on a famous universe such as that of James Bond:
It’s not just exploiting the IP and playing a game and trying to make some money out of it, it’s not like that. When we are committed to something, we are fully committed: to the community and to cultivating this love for the game we are making, for the IP that we have also promised to treat as if it were our own, creating a community where players will be able to feel at home.
Elverdam has instead hinted at an exit that the team has conducted on set in James Bond:
I remember Hakan, myself and part of the crew walking what we later discovered were the streets of Havana in No Time to Die. You feel extremely small and faced with the value you discover in the world of James Bond.
Our task is to assimilate this world. We know we are good at spy games, experience accumulated with the Hitman franchise that we now rediscover through James Bond.
the title does not yet have a release date declared, but we hope to get new information on this new adventure soon.
