Femicide is the most extreme manifestation of systematic acts of violence against women and girls for the fact of being women. “10 Women” tells the story, the essence, the dreams and the life of 10 victims of femicide.
The podcast is produced by Dudas Media, Amazon Music and Wondery with an original idea by Ashley Frangie and Leticia Sahagún (Se Regalan Dudas), executive produced by Paulina Herrera, with a research paper by the journalist, documentalist and writer Daniela Rea and written by Alma Delia Murillo.

Each episode narrates the lives of 10 women: Fátima, Ericka, Bianca, Maicha Pamela, Sagrario, Idaly, Paola, Mara, Fernanda and one more life to remember and name through the voices of Angélica Aragón, Yalitza Aparicio, Mabel Cadena, Zuria Vega, Bárbara López, Karol Sevilla, Morganna Love, Natasha Dupeyron and Eréndira Ibarra. In Mexico, according to the National Public Security System, more than 10 women are murdered every day, but behind each number there is a life, a story and a family with an irreplaceable void, a space they will never fill. The number of women victims of femicide is worrisome, since only 24% of all cases are investigated and prosecuted as femicide.
The high percentage of murders that go unpunished is alarming, not to mention the millions of untold stories or the femicide files that remain frozen and never come to light.”10 Women is a podcast in which we honor the memory of each one, we tell their stories of who they were, what they were like, and we name them to stop reducing their stories to a filea number or how they were murdered”, commented Ashley Frangie and Leticia Sahagún from Dudas Media.
“This painful and uncomfortable podcast is dedicated to them because to forget them would be to condemn them to a second death and because their lives matter as much as their absence,” they added. “Podcasts have gained ground and have established themselves in the wide range of entertainment content. With the integration of “10 Mujeres” to Amazon Music, we seek to continue offering listeners quality content, diverse and important that generate conversation among our users”. Commented Sara Hayley Kerr, Head of Podcast in Mexico for Wondery.
“10 Mujeres” premiered the first two episodes on March 1, and a new episode will be available every Wednesday through Amazon Music, and one episode every week starting March 8 on any service where you listen to your podcasts.
