After Ricardo Pérez, a member of “La Cotorrisa”, told businessman Ricardo Salinas Pliego that he owed them money after participating in the TV Azteca programs in Qatar 2022, Elektra’s owner questioned influencers for making money from what they do.
Through Twitter, the podcast driver assured that the tycoon owes them money.
“He falls to record and you fall with a checkbook,” he said on the social network.
Added to this, Slobotzky replied: “Whenever you want, it would be a pleasure Don Ricardo, but we want to get on his flying yacht.”
Given the comments of the comedians, the owner of TV Azteca was not far behind and assured that he understood why the company’s actions are wrong.
“Oh wow, do they charge little to do what they do? Let me see if it’s true that they took them to the World Cup with @Azteca because I’m beginning to understand why the actions go wrong,” he said.
“And how much are they supposed to owe you and why so much?” he added.
La Cotorrisa is a “well parrot” podcast —according to its Instagram account— in which they talk about their own anecdotes or that their audiences send them. The program is hosted by comedians Ricardo Pérez and José Luis García Slobotzky. It is currently the fourth most listened to sound show in Mexico, according to data from the Chartable firm.
Some episodes are produced solely by these hosts, but others have featured media and internet celebrities such as Franco Escamilla, Luisito Comunica and Fedelobo.
Ricardo Pérez and Slobotzky start chattering as always, but now they are recording it. Listen to them every Wednesday talking about strange news, fun facts, hilarious anecdotes and lighten the belly button of the week”, reads the description on Google Podcasts.
