ROME, MARCH 10 – In January 2023, industrial production prices recorded an economic downturn of 7.5% and a growth trend of 11.1%, a marked slowdown compared to the previous month (+31.7%). The Istat detects it. On the domestic market, prices decreased by 9.9% on a monthly basis and grew by 11.6% on an annual basis (it was +39.2% in December 2022). Net of the energy sector, on the other hand, prices show a positive economic trend (+0.5%), albeit limited, and grow by 9.8% in trend terms, explains the Institute. On the foreign market there was a slight cyclical increase (+0.6%), a synthesis of moderate increases in both euro (+0.5%) and non-euro (+0.6%) areas. On an annual basis, prices grew by 8.4% (+7.8% euro area, +8.8% non-euro area). In the quarter November 2022 – January 2023, compared to the previous three months, industrial production prices grew by 0.4% (+0.4% domestic market, +0.3% foreign market). (HANDLE).
