Makes sense use integrated Google Drive to send large files. Open your Gmail account and click Compose. Click on the icon Google Drive at the bottom of the compose window (a couple of icons to the right of the standard file attachment).
On the next screen you will only have to choose how you want to send the file. A link to Drive works for any file stored in Drive, including files created with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms. Attachments only work for files that weren’t created with Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
Integrar Dropbox con Gmail
If you use Dropbox, then the Dropbox for Gmail plugin can allow you to send, preview files and links without leaving your Gmail window. The extension adds a Dropbox icon to the compose window. Just click the Dropbox icon and choose the file from your Dropbox account. A link, rather than a file, is attached to the email.
Recipients get detailed previews of all Dropbox links shared in emails. Like attachments, you can use these links to download files directly from Gmail or add them to your Dropbox. With a free Dropbox account, there’s no file size limit—you simply can’t exceed your account’s storage quota.
iCloud Mail Drop
If you want to send large files via email, you can also use iCloud’s Mail Drop feature. When you send an email larger than 20MB, Mail Drop is automatically activated to allow you to send large files up to 5GB. Instead of sending the file through Apple’s email server, upload the file to iCloud and post a link or preview to the recipients. The link is temporary and will expire after 30 days.
If the recipient also has macOS 10.10 or later, the attachment is automatically downloaded in the background. If you send it to another email provider, the message contains an expiration date for the file and a Click to download link.
OneDrive for Outlook
Similar to the example above, if the email is being sent within the Microsoft ecosystem, they also have their own tools. When you try to attach one or more files that are larger than 20 MB in size, Outlook.com will prompt you to upload the files to your OneDrive account. If you follow this message, the file is uploaded to your OneDrive email attachments folder.
The recipient will receive a link to the file instead of the file. You can also share a file from OneDrive, with a 2 GB limit. Outlook will prompt you to upload the files to your OneDrive account. If you follow this message, the file is uploaded to OneDrive.
Select the OneDrive link and decide what you want to do with a file you just shared. There are two options you can choose from: anyone can view or anyone can edit.
Third-party services for uploading large files
In addition to these 4 tricks to be able to attach your large files, there are also a number of websites where you can upload the files you need and thus send a link to download these contents instead of an attachment as such.
WeTransfer is a great option to send files online for free and without even needing to create an account. You can send files up to 2 GB in size, there is no limit to how often you can use the service, and you can either email these files directly to the recipient or generate a link that you can share elsewhere.
Another alternative to upload and send your files by mail is pCloud Transfer, an encrypted file transfer system. You can email large files up to 5 GB and each file must not exceed 200 MB.
SendThisFile it’s a different kind of file sharing service. In this case, set limits on the number of transfers you make rather than the size of the individual file itself. The free plan allows you to send files up to 2 GB with unlimited file transfer.
MyAirBrigde is another encrypted transfer site for large files. If you like to send your files encrypted but need more storage, you can try this service. Their free plan allows you to upload and share files up to 20 GB.
Another great option when it comes to encrypted transfers is Wormhole. Its 10 GB size limit should be enough if you plan to send large files. You can even get a QR code if you need it. However, the link expires in 24 hours, so make sure everyone can download the files before that limit.
