Very soon a new adventure will begin for Aloy. Our favorite warrior will get on the back of a new creature, and will travel to the volcanic archipelago of Los Angeles. This is how the story of Burning Shores begins, an expansion for Horizon: Forbidden West.
Burning Shores is the next step in the Guerrilla saga. It will arrive on April 19 exclusively for PS5extending the gameplay hours of Horizon: Forbidden West considerably.
Aloy will have to discover the mystery that plagues Los Angeles. Is about different islands ruled by machines and cloud cover… which will be more realistic than ever in this expansion.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores – Nueva criatura
Do you remember Bespin or Cloud City in Star Wars? Well, Burning Shores will be something similar. Its creators want the player to feel part of the skies and celestial environments of this great adventure.
As we have already seen in different trailers and images, Aloy will have a new mount in this expansion. We introduce you to the creature capable of diving and flying almost immediately.
New mount for Aloy
A very important aspect of Burning Shores is exploration. But not only by land, since one of Guerrilla’s premises with this expansion is to ”broaden the horizons of the game”.
In this way it comes Waterwing, a winged creature resembling a Pteranodon. This machine is capable of flying and immersing itself in the water in one fell swoop, alternating both forms at will.
Waterwing is a relentless foe that won’t be easy to tame in Burning Shores. However, once we get it we will get an unstoppable ally.
As we have already indicated, Waterwing can rush at full speed into the water, and also propel yourself out of the sea quickly. With it we can explore the skies of Burning Shores and all the aquatic areas.
Waterwing has become an icon of this expansion. In fact, the announcement of this creature has not surprised anyone, because the trailers already show how this mount works for Aloy.
Tricks to make the PS5 DualSense controller battery last much longer
Why is this expansion not coming to PS4? Horizon Forbidden West was available for the old-gen console, but from Guerrilla they indicate that the volumetric techniques used for clouds were NOT possible on PlayStation 4.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is coming to PS Store (exclusively for PS5) starting next April 19th. It will have a recommended retail price of 19.99 euros, and it will be the most spectacular thing the saga has offered since its birth.
