Two goals ahead with Atalantino, Kjaer’s national team recovers and is defeated by goals from Zaynutdinov, Tagybergen and Aimbetov
This time the irrepressible Hojlund was not enough for Denmark who wasted the double advantage signed by the attacker and suffered a sensational comeback against Kazakhstan (3-2 in the final). The Danes move forward in the 21st minute with an all-Italian axis: Kjaer’s throw, Hojlund controls and overtakes Shatskiy with a delicious lob. Easier to execute for the second goal, which comes at the end of a scrum in the area. The goalkeeper opposes Damsgaard’s shot, but can’t do anything about the Atalantino’s conclusion (35′).
The comeback
—
Kazakhstan got back into the game in the 73rd minute with Zaynutdinov, who converted the penalty awarded for Wind’s hand foul. The equalizer is a marvel of Tagybergen, an almost thirty-metre broadside that slips into the top corner (86′). The turnaround was completed three minutes later, Aimbetov took care of it, who soared over the far post on Vorogovskiy’s cross. The author of the third goal will then be sent off a few seconds from the end for a second yellow card.
On the field England-Ukraine, Liechtenstein-Iceland and Slovenia-San Marino.
