Hideo Kojima has remembered the ninth anniversary of Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes, one of its most particular titles. The well-known Japanese creative has been reflecting on the release of this work from his Twitter, which has generated some noise.
Fans of the saga will already know what happened to Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes. The Metal Gear Solid 5 prequel The Phantom Pain raised a lot of controversy due to the confusion it generated as a product.
Many were those who waited for a game complete with all of the law and ended up finding a game, yes, but much shorter. An experience of a few hours that left many really confused, discouraged and even angry.
A new experiment by Hideo Kojima
Well, since it is 9 years since its launch in 2014, Hideo Kojima wanted to talk a little about this title. Remembering its premiere, the creator of the saga commented in passing on the controversy surrounding him.
It’s the first time that Kojima speaks out about all the drama that was with Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes and has indicated that everything was an experiment in order to offer this final chapter as a series in episodic format.
In fact, my great intention was to release GZ, Kojima commented. The development of a complete game takes between 4 and 5 years. Times change during production. So I thought about offering an episodic format, like a broadcast drama, where one episode is produced and distributed. GZ was meant to be an experiment.

We already know how much Kojima likes to try new things and in this case, his innovation caught fans off guard. What did you think of Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes? How did you see this prologue? Precisely, in our assessment of the game we made it clear:
Ground Zeroes presents the pillars of what will be The Phantom Pain, with some open world mechanics that point to very good manners. Now, it is what it is: a very short prologue to something destined to be great, but not a complete game.
