The HBO Max platform presents the new trailer for the miniseries “Love and Death”. Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons, the miniseries will have seven episodes with its first three premiering on Thursday, April 27, followed by a weekly episode until May 25.
This riveting drama is part of the official selection of the 2023 SXSW Film & TV Festival. David E. Kelley’s miniseries, directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, tells the true story of two devoted couples, “Candy” and “Pat Montgomery”, and “Betty” and “Allan Gore”, who are enjoying life in a small Texas town, but whose tranquility is disturbed by an extramarital affair that triggers a violent act with an axe.
The cast of “Love and Death” also includes Lily Rabe, Patrick Fugit, Krysten Ritter, Tom Pelphrey, Keir Gilchrist and Elizabeth Marvel. This Max Original miniseries is co-produced by Lionsgate.
Executive producers are David E. Kelley (who writes the series) via David E. Kelley Productions, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari through Blossom Films, Lesli Linka Glatter (who directs the first four and final four episodes), Scott Brown and Megan Creydt via Texas Monthly as well as Matthew Tinker, Michael Klick and Helen Verno.
The miniseries is inspired by the book “Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs” and in a collection of articles from Texas Monthly (“Love and Death in Silicon Prairie,” Part I and II).
