Guido Meda does not cut Marquez out of the world challenge
It’s time for forecasts on the eve of the 2023 MotoGp World Championship and Guido Meda, speaking on ‘Sky Sport 24’, does not hold back, confirming his faith in Ducati and Aprilia but at the same time inviting not to cut the riders out of the world championship speech of the Japanese manufacturers, in particular Marc Marquez and his Honda.
“I wouldn’t underestimate Marquez – he said -. His potential in the race will certainly be higher than that shown in the tests, in my opinion he’s taking time to get familiar with the bike, which remains inferior to the Ducati: however, in a very long season, you can never tell. The same can be said for Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha: they showed good race pace in the tests.”
However, the favorite remains the 2022 world champion: “Pecco Bagnaia restarts from dominating the last part of last season – said Meda -. He certainly has his first opponent at home and it is Bastianini, but Aprilia also seemed better in testing than last year and it’s dangerous.”
An important variable can be represented by the Sprint Races, an absolute novelty for this season: “They are mini races in which you can not think about tires or fuel: expect surprises from explosive drivers who have nothing to lose”.
