Gloria Trevi continues to be haunted by her past. The popular singer became a trend on social networks after a public request was made to cancel her next concert on March 19 at the National Auditorium in Mexico City.
Josefina Saldaña, one of the signatories and generators of the petition, which was published on the change.org platform, affirms that Gloria Trevi mocks the women who were victims of Sergio Andrade’s abuse, The singer’s former manager.
“Women cannot allow artists to continue taking advantage of their fame to hurt us, which is why it is inconceivable that Gloria Trevi remains free and unpunished, not only that, but that she continues to give concerts trampling on her victims, Let’s remember that he is facing new accusations in the United States“, reads the first part of the petition, which already has almost 5,000 signatures.
In the petition that was launched yesterday, an old video is shown in which Trevi and Andrade are being interviewed and supposedly the singer defends Sergio from the journalist’s accusations. “Society has been fooled, as Gloria Trevi has even disguised herself as a feminist making hymns and has forgotten her past alongside Sergio Andradein which he exploited minors and was part of a chain of white slavery, he says he is a victim, but he has always defended Sergio Andrade,” the petition reads.
In the writing of the platform it is mentioned that in 2022 the singer Édgar Oceransky, accused of sexual harassment, finally did not appear in this capital venue due to the pressure that was exerted at the time.
