Due to an increase in postal notification costs, fines will become more expensive
March 13, 2023
After the freeze of the increases of the sanctions administrative fines promised by the government let’s see increase costs on the total fines. “Can e Cad” are the two deadlines which, starting from 27 March, they’ll make us pay more money. The new increases on postage for judicial documents – fines for violation of the highway code are the best known – will in fact increase the final amount for each fine received at home.
How much will the fines increase?
Fortunately, the final increase for each fine received at home increases slightly, only 30 cents. The decision has been made by the Communications Authority, with resolution 469/19/Cons (Method of pricing of connected communications in the context of notification services by mail)
From the current ones 2,70 euro which must be paid for the Communication of Successful Notification (Can) and for the Communication of Successful Deposit (Cad), 55 cents will be addedi bringing the figure relating to notification fees to 3,25 euro. Basically adding up all the costs of notification of fines at home, between increasing items and decreasing items there will be an increase in the final costs from the current 10.15 euros to the future 10.45 euros.
