The spring cleaning
The word ‘spring cleaning’ is a commonly used term at this time of year for a reason. Before you completely brighten up your interior, it is certainly advisable to give in to that spring cleaning. Dusting, mopping and most importantly: tidying up!
While cleaning up, also immediately store all winter attributes, winter accessories and knick-knacks. For example, put all thick, woolen blankets back in the closet and replace them with thin, bright blankets made of linen or cotton.
Nice weather? Window cleaning!
Especially when the sun breaks through and it is very low, it is quickly noticeable if you have dirty windows. This is the time to clean the windows. Especially if your living room or kitchen overlooks the garden, it is nice to have a nice view outside again. Because to be fair, it naturally looks much cooler when your windows are completely clean. A small detail, but it certainly makes a difference!
Bring color into your home
After tidying up and cleaning, it’s time for the decoration and styling of your home. And in the spring, of course, you do that with color. A good way to bring the atmosphere of spring into your home is by bringing colorful spring flowers into your home.
And if you think of spring flowers, tulips are of course a must. These beloved spring flowers come in all kinds of colors and give your home that wonderful, fresh spring feeling. Another typical spring flower is the hyacinth. These flowers smell wonderful and come in the colors white, yellow, orange, red, pink, purple and blue. Finally, daffodils are also real spring bloomers with their typical spring colors yellow, orange and white.
Decorate with light colors
Adding a few atmospheric decorations to your interior is always a good idea. If you want to go for a spring-like atmosphere, it is best to use warm, bright colors or light, soft colors as much as possible. See if you still have a nice, colorful vase for that beautiful bunch of spring flowers. Or get some pastel-colored candles at home or find some new pillowcases with fresh colors that really give you that spring feeling!
Just make sure it doesn’t get too busy. A peaceful atmosphere is also part of spring.
Easter decorations
Do you have children at home or do you just think Easter is a fun holiday? Then Easter decorations should not be missing! Go to the forest or the florist to pick out some willow branches and turn them into a beautiful Easter branch. Then look especially for graceful, winding branches and decorate them in a vase with eggs. Or scour the internet for other fun, easy DIY decorations. The possibilities are endless and you really don’t have to spend a large sum of money to add some nice Easter elements to your interior.
