The three sports cars drove hard across the border in the rain around 10.45 this morning, after which one of the drivers lost control of the wheel and ended up in the guardrail.
The driver of a second Porsche saw the accident happen and stopped to offer help when a third Porsche crashed into the car that was in the guardrail.
On the road together
According to the German newspaper Bild, the local police suspect that the three cars were on the road together when the accident happened at the Elten – Beek exit.
The motorway in the direction of Oberhausen was closed until early evening on the section where the collision occurred. The Dutch A12 turns into the German A3 at the border.
