It seemed that Valve’s multiplayer shooter couldn’t go any further… we were very wrong. This weekend, he did the impossible and again broke his own all-time record for concurrent users. This a few days after the official announcement of Counter-Strike 2.
According to data from SteamDB, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive achieved an impressive peak of 1,519,457 concurrent players during the morning of Sunday, March 26. As of this writing, it is by far the most popular game on Steam with 1,72,472 concurrent users.

With this new record in the bag, Competitive FPS surpassed Lost Ark and currently holds the second-highest concurrent player record in Valve’s platform history. Of course, it is still a long way from the 3.2 million that PUBG Battlegrounds achieved at its peak. Will he get over it? Only time will tell.
The expectation that surrounds CS 2 is very great, and a considerable sector of the competitive community considers that titles like VALORANT have their days numbered. To ensure the integrity of the competitions and stop potential cheaters, Valve could take very drastic measures.
But tell us, what do you think of this new record? Do you think the new installment will surpass CS: GO? Let us read you in the comments.
