Suara.com – The governor of Bali, I Wayan Koster, was one of the leaders who rejected the arrival of the Israeli national team at the 2023 U-20 World Cup. Due to the massive rejection by the Israeli national team, from a number of parties up to the governor, FIFA decided to cancel Indonesia as the host.
There are at least five reasons why Governor Wayan Koster refused the presence of the Israeli national team. In fact, he has signed a commitment with FIFA regarding Bali becoming one of the U-20 World Cup venue locations in the country, including the draw or draw.
Apart from that, Governor Koster also sent a letter to the Ministry of Youth and Sport, in which it stated firmly his rejection of the Israeli national team. This is believed to be one of the reasons FIFA canceled the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.

Koster continued, his attitude of rejection of Israel was claimed to be in accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution, which the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Sukarno.
