Disney theme parks are a frequent source of inspiration for Disney. Pirates of the Caribbeanhis most successful live-action film series, was born out of a popular Disneyland attraction.
The same thing also happened with Jungle Cruise, a relative blockbuster in 2021 that will probably have a sequel, sooner or later.
And this summer Disney “invites” us back to his Enchanted Mansiona film that will flirt with terror, but suitable for the whole family, which opens on July 28 with figures like Owen Wilson, Jared Leto and Danny DeVito in its cast.

Haunted Mansion is also born from a disney parks attractionoriginally opened in the original Disneyland park in 1969, and with adaptations in four other Disney parks around the world, including Disneyland Paris (under the name of Phantom Manor).
But this isn’t the first time Disney has made a movie out of this ghost story. In 2003 they released The Haunted Mansion, starring Eddie Murphywhich was a success, but was left in the shadow of Pirates of the Caribbean, released that same year.
The new Haunted Mansion runs it justin simon (Dear White People), based on a new idea, with nothing to do with Guillermo del Toro’s 2010 proposal.
In addition to Jared Leto (who will also star in the third part of Tron), Owen Wilson, and Danny DeVito, the cast is completed by Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Levy, and Winona Ryder.
Haunted Mansion will be released on July 28, 2023 (date previously held by The Marvels, pushed back to November).
