The Solo Viola association: “We can’t stay apart for two years. We continue to play in Florence with the construction site active as in Bergamo and Udine”
“Florence is our home and we don’t want to move! No stadium can replace ours and erase the shame of a two-year exile”. The “Solo Viola” association, which brings together a significant number of Fiorentina fans, takes a stand following the announcement made a week ago by Mayor Dario Nardella who announced that for two seasons, 2024-25 and 2025-26, the Fiorentina will have to play their home matches away from the Franchi stadium which will undergo a restyling.

“Viola fans cannot be forced to leave Florence to follow Fiorentina’s home games – reads the press release again -. We feel betrayed by the institutions that promised us that the works on the stadium would not force us to move. The only option we accept is to continue playing at Franchi with the construction site active (as has already happened in Udine and Bergamo)”. The cultural sports association Solo Viola was born last November, it is the third association of viola clubs (which will join Accvc and Atf). In the board of directors there are above all fans who come from the viola club of Valdarno, from the Giano Viola club and from the viola club Accademia di Scandicci.
