The next video game football season will mark a historic turning point: Electronic Arts will return to the market no longer under the name of FIFA, but with that of EA Sports FC. However, this does not mean that the acronym of the international football federation will no longer be used. Long time president Gianni Infantino, re-elected by acclamation today March 16 until 2027, spoke of a new football title in the hands of another development team (whose name is not yet known). And today, as reported by the journalist of the Times Martyn ZieglerInfantino says that FIFA will go head to head with EA Sports launching a rival video game.
“The new FIFA game – FIFA 25, 26, 27 and so on – will always be the best egame for any girl or boy, we will have news about that very soon.” The words of the re-elected president.
We will therefore see when the news on the matter arrives: from Infantino’s words it seems in any case that the game will not be released for the next season, passing directly to the next one (in fact, FIFA 25 is said, not 24).
Below is Ziegler’s tweet on Infantino’s words.
