A body piercer has refused to pierce the ears of a 14-day-old newborn despite his father’s incredible insistence that he want to get him pierced. The man posted the video in which during a conversation he tells the parent that he will not pierce the child. Then the father of the newborn pressed the body piercer, asking him what was the minimum age to do it. “We really only go from age eight and up and even then it’s a case of informed consent,” Price explained. “You need to have a conversation with your son and find out if that’s something he wants to address — if he’s comfortable with being pierced and if, you know, he’s okay with us using needles for this procedure.”
But the father kept insisting that his newborn son had no problems with needles. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, piercings should only be done when the child is “mature enough” to care for them on their own.
