The tragic clash took place yesterday morning on the Nardò – Avetrana state road

To lose his life yesterday morning in tragic iaccident on the highway Nardò – Avetrana, was a 35-year-old motorcyclist, Marco Vetrugno. The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear to the police.
The road where the fatal accident occurred consists of a long, narrow and unsafe straight road, which it has been the scene of fatal accidents too many times. According to the first reconstructions, the man was proceeding in the direction of Avetrana when, near the locality of “Agnano”, he collided with a car traveling in the direction of Nardò and which was turning left onto a dirt road.
On the spot, the medical team tried to revive the man but the injuries sustained by the man were too serious. The findings are in the hands of the Carabinieri and the local police.
