“As long as you have eaten sahur, it means you understand that it is the month of Ramadan. As long as there is still a trajectory in your heart, understand that fasting in Ramadan is obligatory, even if you don’t intend to, it is considered an intention.” he said.
According to Buya Yahya, it is not a problem if we forget to recite the intention to fast in the month of Ramadan.
The reason is, as long as we are aware of doing the obligatory sahur and fasting during the month of Ramadan, then our fasting is still counted as worship and valid.
The most important thing is our intention to fast in this holy month, even if it is not accompanied by reading the intention of fasting, it does not necessarily invalidate the fast.
