Chiliz has formalized the collaboration with the company that aims to influence changes in the world through football: it starts with some memorabilia up for auction
Chiliz technology at the service of the momentum of Common Goal, the philanthropic movement that wants to influence social change through football. In fact, the two companies will unite the global sports community with the aim of influencing social change and thus expanding the audience of Common Goal, the football movement that invites players, managers, clubs and companies to commit at least 1% of their earnings to face the greatest challenges of our time. As will the company that is a technology partner of the fan token platform Socios.
The debut
—
The fledgling association’s first initiative is The One Shirt Pledge, an appeal to the sports industry and its athletes to give new meaning to clothing worn on the pitch, using it to raise funds for Common Goal’s key areas of action. Juan Mata, Giorgio Chiellini, Cristian Romero and Jeremy Sarmiento are among the first sportsmen to have lined up on this front. Not only. Chiliz will support Common Goal’s 1% pledge by donating 1% of all its future profits from Fan Token Offerings (the first stage of selling new digital tokens) on the Socios.com app to the movement. The two companies will work hand in hand on a long-term plan to drive greater social change, through a series of initiatives as well as new products and services.
The reactions

Thomas Preiss, the co-founder of Common Goal, explained the commitment “to help build communities that are able to create a real and tangible impact on the world. In this partnership – he continues – we see a great opportunity to grow the movement in a exciting new direction. And actually accelerate football’s potential as a force for good.” Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz, then explained that the synergy “lies in the common desire to mobilize the global sports community to create positive change”. Now the ball is in the hands of the sports industry and its athletes: “Take a jersey or other on-pitch item from your collection that has a special meaning, and make it even more special by using it to help those who really need it” , Dreyfus’ invitation.
