There are difficulties, but the intention is to overcome them as soon as possible.
Fabio Quartararo believes in his Yamaha, and after losing the 2022 world championship duel with Pecco Bagnaia, he sends a message to the world champion and to the Ducati universe in general. In fact, according to the Frenchman, the Japanese team is close to becoming a threat again for the Borgo Panigale bikes.
“There hasn’t been a real battle between me and Bagnaia yet – Quartararo recalled in an interview for ‘NBC Motorsports’ -. We lack a one-on-one, because sometimes he crashed and I won, other times the opposite. A duel between us, however, will come soon. Also because I think Yamaha has done a great job this year.”
Quartararo then analyzed the bitter end of his 2022 season. “We finished second – he explained -, but I can say that I learned a lot. Especially in the second half of the championship, when Ducati made great strides forward and we were instead back. I gave 100%, but I was too frustrated. I couldn’t enjoy myself and focused too much on the fact that I wanted to win and I couldn’t do it. But sometimes it is useful to think that you have to fight for a fourth or fifth place, and that’s okay.”
