The Gunsmith’s Forge it serves as a clear reference to The Mandalorian season 1, while connecting Grogu to his father Din through traumatic flashbacks. In The Mandalorian season 1, Din relives his own childhood memories of him while the Armorer was forging. Now, two seasons later, Grogu experiences the same thing.
All hell unleashed after Order 66
All hell unleashed after Order 66
An interesting easter egg for the prequel era comes during the flashback of the Order 66 from Grogu. Outside of Anakin’s point of view in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, the only clues to what happened to the Jedi Temple during Order 66 have been murky flashbacks. The Mandalorian season 3 episode 4 offers arguably the best look yet, in which multiple Jedi go down defending Grogu. This leads to a final scene of the burning Jedi Temple, described in Matt Stover’s novel Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith but never seen before.

Attentive viewers will see another clear reference to the prequel era in the flashbacks to Grogu’s Order 66. There are multiple occasions where clone troopers can be heard barking orders, voiced by none other than himself. Temeura Morrison. She played Jango Fett and the clone troopers in the prequels, before returning to play Boba Fett once more in The Mandalorian season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett. Lucas himself lobbied Disney to bring Morrison back, so this was a particularly appropriate decision.

Ahmed Best is back, but not as Jar Jar Binks
Arguably the most poignant easter egg in The Mandalorian season 3 episode 4 is a charming appearance by Ahmed Best playing the Jedi Master, Kelleran Beq, who saved Grogu from Order 66. Best is known for playing Jar Jar Binks in Lucas’s prequel trilogy, a role that unfortunately drew a lot of hate and criticism for the actor. Still, he has remained connected to Star Wars, and now in a very prominent role.

It looks like they cook on the fire and then go out to eat in a private area. As the leader of the war party, Bo-Katan is allowed to eat by the fire.
