The Boonta Celebration Returns to Tatooine
Boonta – The Mandalorian
A major Star Wars easter egg has now been shown in The Mandalorian and it has to do with George Lucas’s prequel trilogy. Apparently, the planet of Tatooine is celebrating the week of Boonta, complete with a podrace through downtown Mos Eisley. This fits with Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, when Anakin Skywalker pod-runs on Boonta Eve. The Mandalorian season 3 episode 2 references Boonta week, suggesting that the entire Boonta celebrations last for a week, complete with a fireworks display as Din and Grogu leave Tatooine.
Boba Fett y los Hutt
Pell names both Boba Fett and the Hutt, making the first reference to events in The Book of Boba Fett. There, Boba established himself as a local crime boss and took over Hutt territory. Din Djarin helped him keep his territory, so Peli wonders if Din has been hired for another crisis.

The Mandalorian season 1 – episode 3 revealed that Two use a group of repair droids. They showed up again, still working for her in season 3 of The Mandalorian. How much does the Dark Saber weigh?
Dark Saber
Once Din is attacked by the Alamitas of Mandalore, he reveals the dark saber for the first time in the third season of The Mandalorian. Similar to The Book of Boba Fett, Din Djarin struggles to use the darksaber. According to the Armorer, it’s because he tends to fight against the sword. This concept was first established in Star Wars Rebels, when the Darksaber was used by another Mandalorian named Sabine Wren, who claimed that the Darksaber was heavier than she expected.
The legend of Bo Katan
The legend of Bo Katan
After traveling under Sundari, Grogu and Bo-Katan start touring the mines to find Din. During their journey, Bo-Katan mentions to Grogu that he once knew many Jedi. This is a welcome reminder that the Jedi and Mandalorians have worked together before, with Bo-Katan siding with Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. He is also well aware of the friendship between Sabine Wren and the Jedi Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger, from Star Wars Rebels.
the kryze family
the kryze family
Towards the end of The Mandalorian season 3 second episode, Bo-Katan mentions his family. During the prequel era, the clan Kryze it was the royal family of Mandalore. Bo-Katan remembers taking the Mandalorian Creed as his father looked on, making him proud that she didn’t embarrass him. The comment is interesting, because it could imply that he considered Bo-Katan’s sister, Duchess Satine, an embarrassment. She was a pacifist and a friend of the Jedi, who even gave Obi-Wan Kenobi the name “Ben.”
