Although last year it was announced that E3 would return with force in June 2023, in recent weeks several questions have been raised about the video game event. Now, new information indicates that E3 2023 was canceled, so it will not take place.
According to information from IGN, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the organization that founded E3, the event scheduled to take place from June 13 to 16 in Los Angeles will not take place. We remind you that it was scheduled to be the first in-person E3 since 2019.

E3 2023 did not generate the interest necessary to exist
According to 2 sources close to ESA, the organization sent an email to its members. In it, he noted that while E3 remains a “beloved” brand and event, the reality is that the 2023 edition did not “generate the sustained interest necessary to execute in a way that showcases its size, strength, and impact on our industry.” .
It is worth mentioning that in the email the ESA does not mention anything about a new edition of E3 next year and only promises to continue supporting the industry. Thus, it is unknown if this news will be the last nail in the coffin of the event.
E3 2023 was scheduled to take place June 13-16 at the Los Angeles, California Convention Center. You can find out more about what was known about this now canceled edition of the event if you click here.
