After that Ubisoft announced on Monday that it has backtracked on plans to attend theE3 2023, Sega e Tencent they also stated that they do not intend to participate in an official capacity. A spokesperson for reportedly Tencent also confirmed that its game publishing division Level Infinite will not participate in the event. Below is Sega’s statement a IGN:
After careful consideration, we have decided not to participate in E3 2023 as an exhibitor. We look forward to sharing more information on announced and unannounced projects in the future.
Nintendo e Xbox have previously confirmed that they will miss this year’s event and neither PlayStation should participate. Last month Ubisoft, the publisher of Assassin’s Creed, became the first major company to publicly commit to E3, which is expected to take place at its traditional home of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). However, in a statement released to VGC this weekthe company said it has now decided to move in a different direction and will hold its own event instead Ubisoft Forward Live on June 12 in Los Angeles.
E3 2023the industry’s first flagship event physical show in four years, was taken over by the Entertainment Software Association da ReedPopthe media and events company behind it PAX, EGX e Star Wars Celebration. In a renewed formatthe first two days of E3 (June 13-14) will be reserved exclusively for business. The third day (June 15) will welcome business and consumer visitorswhile the last day (June 16) will be dedicated to consumers. Unnamed AAA companies, as well as indie darlings and tech and hardware companies had pledged to make their comebacks. The full list of exhibitors will be announced ahead of the show, giving participating companies the opportunity to make their individual announcements in advance.
