Pecco Bagnaia pawing: “I’ll do everything to defend the title”
Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia confessed his emotion in an interview with Quotidiano.net a few days before the start of the World Championship. “I like to think that the Ducati will still be the bike to beat. And I like having the desire to try again right away. Ok, I am and we are aware that it won’t be easy. That a 2023 full of great challenges awaits us, but I believe in it and I have a mad desire to throw myself back into the tussle”.
“Number one? Seeing him on the bike is really beautiful. And as you know it wasn’t an easy choice. Then… then pride won. The desire to show everyone that I was the strongest in 2022 won. I will do everything to defend him and keep him with me again. I expect a beautiful, intense and protagonist World Cup”.
Enea Bastianini could be his first rival: “Enea is strong and what matters right away is to have an excellent relationship and the belief that together we can take our Desmo up there again. Then it is clear that there will always be a battle on the track and anyway. We’re pilots, aren’t we? So…”
A message also to Fabio Quartararo: “I believe that in motorsport it is important to recognize the value of others. He was the first to stop in Valencia to compliment me, after I won the World Championship. There is enormous respect with Fabio and this it’s the right thing. Having said that, obviously, it must be emphasized that Quartararo is a strong rider. As many of my opponents are and will be strong. It will be a very good season, I’m sure.”
