Suara.com – Bali United coach Stefano Cugurra alias Teco considered his team deserved to win when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Madura United in Week 31 of the BRI League 1 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Thursday (16/3/2023).
Teco explained that Bali United had many opportunities to score the second goal, but it was a shame that his team had not been lucky.
“Today I think we should be able to win the game, there were several chances to score a second goal. We didn’t have the luck factor, the ball hit the post,” said Teco as published by Antara, Thursday.
The Brazilian coach added that Madura United played well in this match and was able to take advantage of the mistakes made by his team in the final minutes.

Regarding several mistakes and a lack of sharp finishing, Teco explained that this happened because he chose to place a lot of young players in the first eleven.
Even so, Teco admitted that he understood the situation and that it was natural for the regeneration of Bali United players in the future.
“Yes, the first thing that is good, I see, is being able to put a lot of (young) players in the team, before they don’t have many players for them, (which is) important for the future,” said Teco.
In this match Bali United took the lead through Eber Bessa, but Madura United kept trying to equalize and it came to fruition thanks to Beto Goncalves’ penalty kick in the 85th minute.
This draw has made Bali United still in 6th place in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 48 points from 30 matches.
