The Eren brothers are going through one of their worst economic moments. They barely have enough to eat and the jobs they are getting barely pay for what they need.
So that little Emel doesn’t go hungry, Asiye gave her her ration of food many times and that led her to faint in high school, although only Kaan knew that. She has now become ill again and Doruk has taken her to the hospital.
When Akif’s son tells Ömer, he runs to see his sister. Asiye reassures him and tells him that it’s nothing, but when she goes to talk to Doruk, the young Eren discovers that his sister’s state of health is more serious than she seems.
“He didn’t have a single vitamin in his body,” confirms Akif’s son. The doctor has told him that it could be a beginning of pneumonia. Asiye has to dress warmer and eat better to strengthen her defenses.
Ömer is devastated and assures Doruk that he will take care of his sister. Young Eren feels powerless for not having been aware of her and not being able to give her what he needs. Will he get money for food and coal to keep the house warm?
