At the end of last year, Donkervoort made itself heard again, and the result is impressive. For example, 50 enthusiasts immediately signed the order form for a new F22, even before the model had even seen the light of day. When the supercar was finally unveiled, the Dutch added that they had increased the edition by 25 to give the rest of the world a chance as well… But apparently that was not enough to satisfy the global hunger for Donkervoorts either. satiate.
Now it’s really done
That is why Donkervoort has announced that it will build an additional 25 F22s to meet the continuing demand. These will really be the last pieces this time, and you don’t have to expect them in your driveway from today to tomorrow. For example, the originally enlarged edition would take until the end of 2024 to finish, and with these 25 extra copies included, the factory will be sweet until mid-2025. Donkervoort also states that their F22s literally go all over the world, with the usual buyers in Western Europe, but also, for example, candidates in North America, the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
We actually understand them all quite well, because the Donkervoort F22 seems like a breath of fresh air in a sea of heavy, overcomplicated supercars. For example, the two-seater barely weighs 750 kilograms, and you can whistle about things like power brakes or stability control. So you are completely on your own to rein in the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine from Audi’s racks, which in this case sends 500 hp and 640 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Let’s just hope that those 100 pieces manage to stay on the straight and narrow for as long as possible, although the price tag of around 245,000 euros may cause some caution.
