While the Diablo 4 Open Beta is available, free to everyone around the world, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti users may want to exercise caution. Following some reports, the development team has confirmed that they are investigating cases where the graphics card has crashed or failed due to the beta.
Blizzard is “working closely with Nvidia to identify affected hardware configurations and collect as much data as possible to aid in the investigation,” according to customer support. Meanwhile, those whose GPU fails should perform a full power cycle. If the device is detected by Windows, you must perform a clean install of the driver.
If that doesn’t work, players should provide details about their GPU card vendor and model number, resolution, and graphics settings while running the Diablo 4 beta, etc. For RTX 30 series users, some have suggested limiting the frame rate through the Nvidia control panel as a workaround. To do this, just right-click on Desktop and select Manage 3D Settings.
Enable maximum frame rate and specify the figure – monitor refresh rate is fine too. Apply and restart the game or system. Stay tuned for more updates on a proper fix in the coming days.
Diablo IV will be released on June 6 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 e PC.
