The NS, the Heritage team of the municipality, the foundation and a well-known furniture maker together made a plan to restore the building to its former glory. “It gilds my heart, you should know that,” says station manager Bert van Mourik of the NS. “I have also been committed to returning the station to its authentic style for six years now, and these shutters are characteristic of the facade.”
