It’s no secret that Destiny 2’s Bungie had some problems since the Eclipse came out. Whether it’s the Lost Sectors of Legend too difficult, the Root of Nightmares raid too easy or issues related to the campaign, there is much to fault. This also extends to new features like Guardian Ranks, needed to unlock new mods and story books.
While they were added as a tool to guide New Light players, nearly all players, regardless of experience, they started with Guardian Rank 6. To level up you need to get commendations from team members when you complete objectives. The previous amount was rather absurd, but Bungie has reduced the requirement, according to a new tweet.
The achievement descriptions will be updated on March 16 to reflect the new requirements, so stay tuned. There’s no word yet on whether or not Bungie will take on activities like Wellspring to earn Mastery Commendations and easily earn Guardian ranks, but stay tuned.
Destiny 2: Eclipse is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
Guardian Ranks Update: To more closely match our goals, we have reduced the required Commendations score to complete objectives across all Guardian Ranks.
Objective descriptions will be updated on March 16 to display the new Commendations requirements.
