He is a great signing, given his interpretive level in Succession.
This is what we can expect from Matthew Macfadyen
HBO
Matthew Macfadyen rose to stardom after his portrayal of Mr. Darcy in the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice, but he acquired even more relevance after his leading role in the successful series of Succession on HBO. There he brings to life Tom Wambsgans, a role for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award, two BAFTA Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Additionally, the Deadpool 3 actor has appeared in Death at a Funeral, Frost/Nixon, Anna Karenina, The Assistant, and Operation Mincemeat.
Deadpool 3 is being written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick from an earlier draft by Bob’s Burgers duo Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had already assured fans that It will still be an R-rated movie, like the first two., which would make it the studio’s first film with such an adult rating. We’ll see what the Succession actor can bring to the Merc with a Mouth franchise.
