Dead Cells may finally receive a native PS5 version as part of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, the listing for which has surfaced online.
As published by Gematsu, the game has been rated by the ESRB, which suggests that the game’s release might be imminent.
It’s unclear if it will be a physical or digital release, but it seems to suggest that it will include the recently released Castlevania-themed DLC.
While it’s playable on PS5 thanks to the game’s backwards compatibility for PS4, this release would mark the first time it’s been playable natively on PS5. It is unclear if the version will include the other non-Castlevania DLC as part of the package.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is a co-production with Konami, owners of the classic IP. Konami production assistant Tsutomu Taniguchi said the rumors about the Castlevania franchise were “really motivating for Konami”.
“We tried to bring back the games that people loved and cherished with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Castlevania Advance Collection,” Taniguchi said.
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is out on March 6 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
