After being abused by Mario Dandy Satriyo, David Latumahina is said to have had a diffuse axonal injury (DAI). DAI is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Responding to this, Consultant Doctor for Intensive Care at Mayapada Kuningan Hospital, Franz JV emphasized that there was no basis for saying that David had a diffuse axonal injury.
Doctor Franz said, it is not easy for someone to be called having a Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI). Because he said, it requires deeper analysis to call someone experiencing Diffuse Axonal Injury.
“Where does DAI come from? There are criteria and it’s not easy to call DAI directly. It’s too careless to talk about DAI, what is the basis?” said Doctor Franz while at Mayapada Hospital, Kuningan, quoted by Mamagini from YouTube TvOneNews, Wednesday (1/ 3/2023).

Doctor Franz said that further analysis was needed to determine whether David had a diffuse axonal injury or not. But he said the condition of David’s development was quite significant.
“Yes, depending on the response, it still takes a few days, I can’t say for sure. I’ll say later, then how come it hasn’t happened until now? Oh, I can’t, this is very relative,” said Doctor Franz.
“But at least, what we have shown is that from four to five days the developments are quite enjoyable,” he continued.
Previously, Doctor Franz revealed that David had suffered head trauma after being abused by the son of a tax official, Mario Dandy Satriyo.
“I emphasize, if we cannot detail the damage first because this is still under development, but it is clear that there is trauma to the head,” said Doctor Franz, quoted by Mamagini from YouTube TVOneNews, Wednesday (1/3/2023).

Nevertheless, Doctor Franz admits that he has not been able to reveal in more detail about the trauma to David’s head. This is because, according to Doctor Franz, currently the son of GP Ansor official Jonathan Latumahina is still being treated in the ICU. As for its development began to improve.
“But what is the problem in it we cannot (explain), because this can still develop. The important thing is that the situation is now quite stable,” said Doctor Franz.
In addition, Doctor Franz said that David’s condition was getting better. According to Doctor Franz, David’s condition is still continuing to observe David.
“David’s child’s condition has developed quite significantly, but he is still being treated in the intensive care unit and all possibilities can still occur, so he still needs to carry out close observation with David’s child,” said Doctor Franz.
Doctor Franz further said that at this time David was no longer using a respirator.
“He’s started (conscious) because he can’t control properly but at least he can breathe spontaneously, not using a respirator anymore,” said Doctor Franz.
He explained that his party used the Glasgow Coma Scale or GCS method to measure David’s level of consciousness. Normally the normal GCS value is 15.
Meanwhile, Doctor Franz said, for David the number was 8 going to 9. So according to him this was a very significant development.
“Indeed there is an improvement in awareness, when entering the Glasgow coma scale (a scale measuring the level of human consciousness) it was about four and now it has reached eight or nine. This means that the development is very significant and this happened within 4-5 days,” he said.
