BEIJING – A father in China gave an unreasonable punishment after finding his son using his cell phone in bed. He punished the child 17 hours non-stop playing games without sleep.
The boy in Chenzen, China, said his father banged on his bedroom door at 1am while he was playing on his phone and dragged him out from under the covers.
The father, who was identified only as Huang, decided to administer the cruel punishment instead of confiscating the phone.
Footage shows the exhausted boy still in his pajamas looking startled and getting up to continue playing after nodding off in his chair.
In a heartfelt note, the boy wrote: “So my dad found out. Then my dad punished me.”
“Let me play enough. Play until I puke,” he said.
“Yes, I was woken up several times. It will be all day long. From 1 am to 6 pm. Just played for 17 hours,” he continued as quoted from Metro, Sunday (19/3/2023).
The father would only lift the sentence when his son cried and agreed to a new agreement that limited his playing time.
He filmed the lesson and shared it on Douyin – China’s version of the TikTok app – claiming he was only doing it as a last resort and advised other parents against it.
