Five unscrupulous members of the Central Java Regional Police were found to be intermediaries for prospective non-commissioned officer students. It can be said that the five police officers are currently in the midst of a fortunate fate because they are only subject to demotion sentences.
The five police officers had previously been caught red-handed and proven guilty by the Propam Headquarters Team in the Hand-Catching Operation (OTT) within the Central Java Regional Police.
The demotion sentences received by the five members of the Indonesian National Police are currently in the midst of controversy and commotion in society.
The public views that the five rogue police officers were lightly punished and not in accordance with the actions they had committed. This also made the National Police Chief General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo intervene.

The Chief of Police Immediately Orders Fire
At this time, the National Police Chief General of Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo was furious and immediately intervened giving orders to the Central Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi and the Central Java Regional Police Head of Propam to give a more serious sentence.
This is because not a few members of the Central Java Regional Police are officers, namely two middle-ranking officers with the rank of Police Commissioner (Kompol), one first officer with the rank of Adjunct Police Commissioner (AKP), and two with the rank of Brigadier.
The National Police Chief wants the five police officers to be immediately dismissed from the police force and immediately taken to the realm of law to undergo a process of criminal punishment because they have damaged the image of the Police in the eyes of the public.
“I have ordered the Kapolda and Kabid Propam to give punishment, if not PTDH, criminal proceedings, so no one is playing around with this problem anymore,” said the National Police Chief, Saturday (18/3/2023).

“Because we are all serious, I see that these friends are already extraordinary, but if later there are still playing outside, shooting on horses, what will we do. Still the perception will always be like that,” continued the Chief of Police.

It didn’t stop there, the National Police Chief also did not hesitate to give sanctions to prospective students who paid bribes so that he could be smoothly accepted as a member of the National Police.
Meanwhile, the National Police Chief asked that students who bought ‘entrance tickets’ to the National Police be removed from the selection list.
“Recently related to SIP, I got reports and complaints, they entered through certain institutions to pay again. Then I told them to cross it out at that time, I just found out who paid, because we are limiting the granting of quotas this year, but apparently from such channels there is also one, as soon as we cross it out, it will be found out who paid for it,” said the National Police Chief.
The National Police Chief wants firm action, so the public’s trust in the Police agency will also be strong.
