Operation Sapphire Jackal offers players daily and weekly challenges to complete in both multiplayer and co-op modes, a wide variety of cosmetic items, and much more. The challenges are randomly selected and range from “Kill 50 vehicles with anti-tank guns” a “Get 50 veteran ranks with Wehrmacht infantry” and promise to challenge even the most experienced Company of Heroes veterans. Relic’s first major update also includes bug fixes, game balance changes, and miscellaneous improvementssuch as the introduction of the new voice acting for Ghurka infantryupdates to the option Unique Player Color to display teammates/enemies more clearly, audio adjustments, and improvements to tooltips and descriptions that better explain skills, units, veteranization, and upgrades.
Together with Operation Sapphire Jackal they arrive in the game new cosmetics which will allow players to customize your own armies and units in both multiplayer and single player modes. Relic will offer a balanced mix of earnable and premium content to ensure players have the freedom to choose how they play post-launch content through the in-game store. Items can be purchased with i “War Bonds” or with the “Merit”. The former are a form of in-game currency that can be earned only by purchasing packages of the same namewhile Merit is an in-game currency that can be acquired by completing Challenges. Merit can be used to purchase some items, but not all.
