The creator of Cobra Kai confirms that he has decided to end the series with season 6, but not all his stories

The Miyagiverse is a world of movies and a series that was born with the release of The Karate Kid (1984) and that he has followed the life of Daniel LaRusso and some other characters. Due to the success of this franchise, it was decided to take advantage of his longing and the new generation of viewers to create this series, by the hand of Jon Hurwitz.
Now, after six seasons, the last of which is yet to be released, the creator announces via Twitter that the series will end after its premiere. However, she promises that the stories of some characters, like Daniel or Jonny Lawrence, will continue in a film that is scheduled to be released sometime in 2024.
Netflix didn’t tell us it was the last season. We told them it was the last season. We’ve always wanted to end Cobra Kai on our own terms and we are grateful we have the opportunity to do so. No word on who will star in the filmand less taking into account the open melons left by the end of season 5, which must be closed to know what will become of the characters.
In fact, actress Hillary Swank has been askedprotagonist of the latest film in the franchise, The Next Karate Kid, about his presence in this future project that will not involve the creators of Cobra Kai, but has denied being contactedalthough he would have loved to be part of the project.
