Super Mario Bros. The Movie will have a post-credits scene, and Chris Pratt handles some ideas…
In another interview with CBR, Pratt confirmed that the Super Mario movie will have a post-credits scene, and will hint at the direction in which a possible sequel would go.
“At the end of the movie there is a post-credits scene that gives you a clue as to what the sequel is going to be about. And that has me very, very excited,” says Pratt.
Pratt also says that “there have been talks about Luigi’s Mansion, and I think that would be great,” although rumor has it that the first Super Mario spin-off will be focused on Donkey Kong (voiced by Seth Rogen), and could be for television.
Going back to the first interview, Pratt reassures fans by saying that “there are so many dedicated hearts and souls in this movie” to make sure I don’t cynically destroy your childhood memories with a jackhammer.
